Login in to Sora for Access to an Array of New Digital Magazines!
Hi, Fair Oaks Students and Staff!
New to Sora! Students and staff have access to digital magazines. Mrs. Queentana especially loves National Geographic Kids, and the Halloween Edition is just in time for our Halloween Book Fair October 26-29 in the school library from 7:00 am-2:00 pm. There are several high-interest pages throughout the magazine, and I loved reading and learning cool facts about pumpkins, ghost whales, and bats!
Directions to Login to Sora at Home or School:
1. Login to a Cobb computer.
2. Go to Cobb Digital Library.
3. Select databases and scroll down to "Sora", or download the Sora app on any Apple or Android device.
4. Select Cobb County School District as your school.
5. Click on the "Explore" button at the bottom of the Sora homepage screen.
6. Type in "National Geographic Kids"
7. Click "Borrow" and start reading all of the cool and fun Halloween facts, plus other great magazine features!
A really cool feature is that more than one student may access the same digital magazine at the same time! Yay! You can read with your friends or teachers can read with their students in class.
Students may also visit the library to use an iPad to read in Sora while in the library. Ask Mrs. Queentana or Ms. Christmas for an iPad and relax in one of our new comfy rocking chairs. Be sure to get a pass and timer from your teacher before visiting.
