Fair Oaks Library Beanstack Reading Challenge
Pop Open More Books
Students and Staff,
The "Pop Open More Books" Beanstack/Zoobean reading challenge will run from August 2022 to May 2023. This is a weekly reading challenge that resets each week. The challenge is for students to read 140 minutes each week to earn popcorn in the library on each Friday throughout the challenge. It sounds like a lot of minutes, right? But if you break it down, it is only 20 minutes per day.
1. Read 20 Minutes a Day until you reach 140 Minutes
2. Earn the Popcorn Badge in Beanstack
3. Pick up Popcorn on Friday
Reading 20 minutes a day benefits students so much! It increases background knowledge, vocabulary, and your joy for reading! You can read books, listen to audiobooks, read magazines, read Newsela articles, or read facts from resources in Cobb Digital Library. Anything you read, qualifies as reading minutes.
